Pregnant Hot Flashes

A friendly reminder for all the Dads to be:

When your wife is pregnant there will be times when she is hot, literally. The term “bun in the oven” seems to be quite fitting as she will constantly remind you that “It’s hot in here.”.

Driving in the car and it’s 40 degrees outside? You will ultimately end up rolling down a window to cool her off while simultaneously blasting the heat to safe guard your toes from frost bite.

Have a recliner near a window in your house? You might want to rearrange your furniture because she will inevitably open a window to find relief from the heat and that 40 degree wind will be blowing in your direction on the recliner and not her direction on the couch.

The nice thing about all of this, for the husband, is that she gets just as hot in the middle of the night. So that means at some point you will roll over in bed to find that, in an effort to keep from melting, she has taken off her pants.

The bad news? Even though your beautiful wife is lying in bed with no pants on, if you touch her she will undoubtedly break all of your fingers. No pants is not an invitation for anything except for you to get out of bed and crank the thermostat down to about 40.

I’m considering  just getting us a room at the Ice Hotel where everything is made of ice. Even the beds.
