About Us
Hi there and welcome to Newly Parents. Thanks for visiting us.
We have been a happily married couple since 2006. We’re not exactly sure on how long you can officially call yourself “newlyweds” we still love each other as much as the day we were married and as long as we have that we will consider ourselves newlyweds. It’s a great title that we don’t want to lose.
We have followed all the traditional steps of marriage. From the proposal to wedding planning, getting married to the honeymoon, saving money for a house to buying our first house and finally getting pregnant and having our first child.
We had our baby boy in February 2010 and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, perfect baby. We plan to have at least one more in the future. We’ve already got the names picked out for either a boy or a girl.
We love doing as much as we can as a together because everything is better when you can share it as a family. Everything from vacations to grocery shopping (though with the baby it’s sometimes easier for one of us to stay home with the baby while the other one does the shopping). We each have a couple favorite TV shows and while we may not particularly care for the other person’s shows, we watch them and enjoy the time together. (How many Husbands do you know that can name every cast member of General Hospital or Wife’s that can name every NASCAR driver?).
We enjoy the little things together because those are what make the best memories.
Here we talk about everything that we encounter as a newly married couple, raising our first child and everything in between.
While every marriage has their list of pet names for each other we usually affectionately, though uncleverly, refer to each other has Husband and Wifey.

Thanks for reading!
To get prepared for our marriage, our house buying and our pregnancy/parenting, here are some of the books we’ve read (in random order). Maybe they will help you too? Click on the title to read more.
